Wang Anshun, Mayor of Beijing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Beijing Municipal Government, member of the Eighteenth Central Committee of the CPC and deputy to the Eleventh National People’s Congress.
Born in Huixian County, Henan Province in December 1957, he started his career in July 1975 and joined the CPC in March 1984. He received the Master Degree of Economics (majoring in Political Economics) from an in-service graduate program at the Institute of Economics under Naikai University and holds the title of Economic Administrator.
The previous leadership positions Mr. Wang Anshun held include Deputy Head and Head of the Fourth Exploration Team for the North China Petroleum Geological Bureau under the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources; Director and Party Secretary of the Petroleum Exploration Command Department in Jilin Province; Deputy Director-General and member of the Party Committee of the North China Petroleum Geological Bureau; Deputy Director-General of the Bureau of Petroleum and Marine Geology, Director-General and Party Secretary of the Northeast China Petroleum Geological Bureau; Deputy Director-General and Director-General of the Department of Human Resources of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources; Director-General of the Department of Human Resources & Education of the Ministry of Land and Resources; member of the Standing Committee and Director-General of the Organization Department of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee; member of the Standing Committee and Director-General of the Organization Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Party Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Office of State-owned Assets Administration, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Party Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration, President of the Shanghai Party School, the First Vice President of the China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong; Deputy Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Secretary of the Municipal Judicial and Legal Affairs Committee, Secretary of the Municipal Education Committee, President of Beijing Party School, President of Beijing Administrative College; Deputy Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Chairman of the CPPCC Beijing Municipal Committee, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the CPPCC Beijing Municipal Committee, Vice Mayor and Acting Mayor of Beijing, and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Beijing Municipal Government.
